For The Love of a Shih Tzu
Lend A Helping Paw® Shih Tzu Rescue (LAHPSTR) is an all-volunteer, Michigan-based 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of abused, neglected, abandoned, displaced, or otherwise homeless, fluffy, small-breed dogs, primarily Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apsos. We also operate a Forever Foster “sanctuary” program where dogs may live out their natural lives, if adoption is not possible due to age, health, or behavior.
We are headquartered in South East Michigan and our dogs are fostered in private homes across the US. We currently adopt within the continental US (subject to applicable regulations for the import of dogs) and offer free transport by air (in cabin) or road to most out-of-state adopters.
